David fully embraced me as a granddaughter. He was warm, cuddly and fun, everything you'd want a granddad to be. I loved visiting the house in Barnet and have wonderful memories of doing the bees, picking fruit and creating homemade ice cream flavours together. He played a pivotal role in inspiring my love of food, taking me into the career I have today. Granddad was a very special, very kind man and his memory will stay in my heart forever.
